Office SafetyThe duration of this course is one day. Office staff can very often get overlooked for health and safety training as most people consider an office to be a safe place to work. However, the legal requirement to provide employees with health and safety training applies equally to them. In addition many accidents occur each year in offices causing both injuries to staff but also expense to a company. This course is intended for all office staff.
Teaching and Learning strategies:
The teaching and learning strategies employed in this programme by the training consultants are based on the philosophy of experimental learning - "learning through doing". Delegates are encouraged to participate as individuals and within groups.
A variety of methods are employed to deliver and enhance the learning experience. Trainer-led input is complemented by a variety of activities such as skills practice (role-play), practical exercises, discussions, presentations and case studies.
A strong emphasis is placed on the transfer of learning into the workplace. Delegates are encouraged and challenged to discover and identify ways they can each specifically apply the training experience to the workplace.
Assessment:
The day concludes with a 20 question multi-choice assessment. A Certificate is issued for those achieving 75% plus on the assessment.

- The legal requirement for risk assessment
- Definition of hazard and risk
- Basic risk calculation and examples in use within industry
- How to prioritize the risks
- Classroom based assessments
- Delegates to undertake "live" assessment on the premises
