The duration of this course is two days. This course aims to give practising leaders the foundation knowledge to underpin their role, to ensure company goals and objectives can be met easily and with the co-operation and collaboration of their teams.

The programme has two primary objectives:

  • To enable participants as leaders to translate the company vision into clear goals and objectives and communicate the business vision efficiently to their teams whilst creating the best environment for success
  • To develop working strategies and good practice to enable participants to lead their teams to complete company objectives efficiently and effectively

Participants must be responsible for planning, allocating, monitoring and reviewing work based activities with members of their team. There are no formal educational requirements but learners must have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme and possess Level 2 Key Skills in Literacy and Numeracy, or their equivalent.

The Duration:

  • A 2 day tutor led programme.  9.30 to 4.30 each day
  • Optional two, 2 hour follow up 1-2-1 coaching session with the tutor

The Location:

All group tutor led sessions will be held at Protech's centre in Leighton Buzzard.

Progression:

Participants may wish to discuss with a Learning Advisor or their tutor the opportunity to undertake:

  • NVQ Level Three* or NVQ Level 4 in Management
  • ILM Award, Certificate or Diploma at Level Three, Four or Five

The level of the qualification will depend on individual job role responsibility and opportunity to apply the learning into work based activities.

*There may be opportunity for further learning to be part funded.
