NVQ 2 Information Technologies
The iTQ is a qualification for the workplace introducing a more modern approach to delivering NVQs. It is now possible to design a course to meet your specific needs.
This is the IT user qualification and training solution that has been created by employers for employers to ensure that their staff are trained in exactly the IT skills that they need to carry out their roles.
To cope with the fact that different employers need their staff to have skills at different levels the iTQ allows different units to be taken at different levels. The iTQ process uses the assess-train-assess model to enable individuals to create their own iTQ to suit them and their employer.
Qualification - Unit Overview
- Make selective use of IT
This unit covers the evaluation of your own skills in using IT and the effective methods of searching and reviewing sources of information. It provides the opportunity to obtain feedback and analyse how others use IT and the software tools and techniques used to structure information for different purposes. It will allow you to analyse how effective software tools and techniques are for particular tasks.
The unit requires a user to be able to stand back from a task, analysis it and select the most appropriate IT tools to complete the task effectively.
