The QCF Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance Qualifications replaced the A1 Assessor and V1 Internal Verifier qualifications from the 1st January 2011. In line with other qualifications that come under the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework), they are unit based, each unit has a credit value with the qualification stipulating the total number of credits needed to achieve the full award or certificate.
Assessor Qualifications -The learner can choose which units to take and when to make up a possible three qualifications:
All of these assessor qualifications would require the learner to have a support network in place as well as at least two people to be able to assess in order to gain the evidence for competence in assessing. However unlike the old A1 these assessments do not have to be against an NVQ.
